TL;DR — what the data shows
Every competitor we scanned has at least one educational page pulling 3–7× its homepage traffic. BitGo ranks #1 for “what is a cold wallet” (50,000/mo). Blockstream ranks for almost nothing it didn’t name.
A family of “[topic] news” queries — stablecoin news (6,100/mo, KD 7), tokenized treasuries news (1,600, KD 6), RWA tokenization news (1,600, KD 7) — totals ~15,000/mo at KD≤17. These queries literally ask for a page updated every week.
(1) weekly news hubs, (2) perennial explainers, (3) one “dip-day” page for the ~60,000/mo “why is bitcoin dropping” cluster (KD 0–9) that recurs every volatility event.
“What is tokenization” (52,000, KD 49), “what is a cold wallet” (50,000, KD 51), “what is a hardware wallet” (48,000, KD 50) are the prizes the easy-KD library earns the authority to attack.
Their “coin clipping” explainer ranks for a 14,000/mo KD 2 term — a sound-money education page with a product CTA. That is the template.
01 — The gap: what competitors rank for that we don’t
We diffed Blockstream’s top 500 organic keywords against six competitor domains — BitGo, Anchorage, Unchained, mempool.space (custody + explorer) plus River and Trezor (education + consumer). 361 non-brand gap keywords surfaced. The pattern: competitors win with plain-English education, not product pages.

02 — Three repeatable formats for the easy-KD space
A standing page per topic (“Stablecoin news — updated weekly”), refreshed every week with 3–5 curated items and one line of Blockstream perspective. Google serves these queries to continuously updated pages — a weekly publishing habit is precisely the ranking requirement, and nobody in our competitive set runs one. Each hub also feeds the social calendar (the weekly update is the post).

Every volatility event re-fires the same query cluster: why is bitcoin dropping (18,000) · bitcoin crash (18,000) · why is bitcoin crashing (7,200) · will bitcoin go back up (3,300) · why did bitcoin drop today (3,200) · is bitcoin going to crash (2,400) · will bitcoin crash (2,100) — all KD 0–9. Build one evergreen page (“Why is bitcoin dropping today? A framework”) that explains drawdown mechanics, historical context, and what long-term holders do — refreshed with a dated note on volatility days. The natural CTA is self-custody: volatility is when people move coins off exchanges — straight into Jade territory. News sites churn undated articles here; a maintained framework page is structurally different and rank-durable.

04 — The weekly publishing system (52 weeks)
The weekly unit is one hub refresh + one new evergreen piece (≈3–4 hours total). Hubs compound on the news terms; explainers work down the F2 queue. Quarter one below is specified per week; quarters two through four repeat the rotation with the next items in the queue, re-pulled against fresh KD data each quarter.

what is a cold wallet / what is a hardware wallet / what is tokenization pillar pages, fed by a year of internal links from the cluster. By now the library is ~40 pages deep — the KD-50 terms become winnable.
05 — Pollution map & what to skip
Always target “liquid network bitcoin” or “bitcoin sidechain” phrasings.
“cold storage” is warehouses and a video game; “token” is a metal band; “custody” is family law. Qualify every one of these with bitcoin/crypto modifiers or skip.
“Bitcoin api” / “blockchain api” run KD 49–77 with low volume — serve that audience through docs and the Explorer API pages, not the weekly blog.
Doge wallet (3,500/KD 15 via Trezor), price-prediction and dated price queries (“bitcoin price january 30 2026”), and meme-coin terms rank easily but attract the wrong audience and erode topical focus.
A stale “news” page loses the SERP fast — the weekly habit is the moat. If a hub can’t be maintained, fold it rather than let it rot.
